Description

These beautiful lithographs by Elizabeth Frink (1930-1993), featuring striking pencil sketch with black, blue and yellow tones, illustrate scenes from The Iliad, including "The Horses of Achilles Wept at the Death of their Charioteer" and "Aias and Odysseus found Achilles beguiling the time with music," drawn from The Odyssey. Printed on antique laid paper in 1974 with the expertise of the Curwen Press master printers, the pair is framed in painted wood that shows some wear, adding unique character without detracting from their appeal. Sold together and ready to hang on the wall.
