An exquisite pair of 19th century Meiji Period Japanese panel featuring traditional Shibayama technique. Black lacquered wood background displays finely carved bone and mother-of-pearl figurines depicting a man and child. Some inlay material shows age-appropriate minor losses to the bone or mother of pear inlays on a single small butterfly and flower (please see photos). An authentic specimen of Japanese decorative artistry ready for wall mounting. Price includes both panels.
